County District 2 candidate, Victor Ramirez, has 16 years in public service, in the Maryland House of Delegates and State Senate, and has a private law practice as well. Victor sees our county's increasing diversity, with some 23 percent of the population being immigrants. In a second interview, he discusses the differences for those located within municipalities--which take on many of the public service roles--or in unincorporated areas, in which the County fulfills those roles. He shares thoughts on how workforce development and housing might be grown.
