Voting is a superpower. Your vote has the power to change policy, affect land use, control taxation, reduce waste, preserve the environment or improve vital services like education. However, if you don't exercise your vote, you get no say. Don't let the wrong people get into office. Don't let your voice be silenced. Don't let bad decisions get made. Don't let the future be decided by those who are only motivated by their own benefit.
Exercising your vote tells officials that you are a force to be reckoned with. It makes them sit up and take notice. It influences the civic conversation. It changes agendas.
The pen is mightier than the sword--but the vote is mightier than both. Wield your vote! It's your right, and your privilege. In these videos, Kate Tsubata, (founder of Clean Slate People) shares how important your vote is, and then shows you how easily you can register. And after registering, you might want to request a mail-in ballot, which allows you to investigate and check the record of all the candidates at your own time, in order to pick the ones that meet your criteria.
